21st FIFA WORLD CUP, final part of which will take place in Russia from 14 June until 15 July 2018. For the first time in the history of Russia it will be hosting FIFA World Cup. As well as it is also a unique occasion when Mundial will be help on two parts of the world simultaneously – Europe and Asia. World Cup matches between country teams will take place in twelve stadiums across eleven cities of Russia. It is also worth mentioning that it will be a first World Cup where Video Assistant Referee (VAR) will be used.

Host cities

 

Opening and final games of the championship will take place in Moscow in the Luzhniki stadium. One of the semi-finals will be held in Saint-Petersburg in St. Petersburg stadium, and the other one in Moscow.

The official FIFA World Cup mascot for the 2018 tournament, a wolf named Zabivaka ("the one who scores" in Russian), was unveiled on 21 October 2016. Representing an anthropomorphic wolf with brown and white wool T-shirt with the words "RUSSIA 2018" and orange sport glasses. The combination of white, blue and red T-shirt and shorts are the national colors of the Russian team.
