Belorussia or Republic of Belorussia is a state, situated in Eastern Europe. The country shares borders with following countries: Russia (East), The Ukraine (South), Poland (West), Lithuania and Latvia (North-West). The capital of Belorussia is Minsk.
Belarus is a founding member of the UN, CIS, CSTO, EurAsEC and the UNI0N State. Belorussia is a unitary state. Administratively divided into six regions, areas are divided into districts and cities of regional subordination. The total number of districts in all areas is 118, and the number of cities of regional subordination is 12. Minsk is independent administrative unit, which does not belong to any region. Belarus is a presidential republic. President of the Republic of Belarus has the right to legislate and to issue decrees of law. Belarus has the system of the bicameral Parliament, which consists of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, which in turn is divided into the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic.
